AIFSET is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to B.Sc. and M.Sc. Forensic Science courses offered by participating universities and institutes across India.
The examination is also used to award scholarships to eligible students based on their performance.
A student writes the AIFSET examination and receives a score.
Based on the score, students may become eligible for admission and scholarships in participating universities and institutes.

- There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in AIFSET.

- Candidates can appear for the AIFSET examination up to three times during one admission cycle.
- Example: If a student applies for AIFSET in 2026, they can take the examination up to three times during the 2026 admission cycle. If the student applies again in 2027, they can again take the examination up to three times during the 2027 admission cycle.
Mode: Online Remote-Proctored Test (can be taken from home using a mobile phone, laptop, or desktop with an internet connection).

- No Negative Marking: No marks are deducted for incorrect answers.
