AIIMS B.Sc. Allied & Health Care Entrance Examination

AIIMS B.Sc. Allied & Health Care Entrance Examination is an entrance examination conducted for admission to selected B.Sc. Allied & Health Care courses offered by participating AIIMS institutions.

The examination is mainly for students who have completed Class 12 and want to study undergraduate healthcare and allied health courses.

The examination was earlier referred to as the AIIMS B.Sc. Paramedical Entrance Examination. AIIMS now uses the term B.Sc. Allied & Health Care courses for these programmes.

Qualification:

  • Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Students must have studied the subjects required for the chosen course.
  • For many courses, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are required.
  • For some courses, Mathematics may be accepted instead of Biology, depending on the course.

Minimum Marks:

  • Usually 50% marks are required for General, OBC (NCL) and EWS candidates.
  • 45% marks are required for SC/ST candidates.
  • The required marks and subjects may vary depending on the chosen course.

Age:

  • Must be at least 17 years old by 31 December of the year of admission.
  • There is generally no upper age limit.

Attempts:

  • There is no fixed limit on the number of attempts.

Mode:

  • The examination is conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT).

Question Type:

  • The examination consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Total Questions:

  • There are 90 questions in total.

Duration:

  • The examination duration is 90 minutes.

Subjects:

  • Physics: 30 questions
  • Chemistry: 30 questions
  • Biology or Mathematics: 30 questions

Total Marks:

  • The examination carries 90 marks.

Marking Scheme:

  • +1 mark for each correct answer.
  • -1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
  • 0 marks for unanswered questions.
