CMA Final

CMA Final is the final level of the Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) course in India. It tests your knowledge of cost management, financial management, taxation, auditing and other areas related to becoming a Cost and Management Accountant.

Students who pass the CMA Intermediate examination can move on to the CMA Final level.

Marks: 100 Marks for Each Paper

Frequency: Twice a year (June and December)

Qualification:

  • CMA Intermediate: You must pass both groups of the CMA Intermediate examination.
  • Registration: You must be registered for the CMA Final course with ICMAI.
  • Practical Training: You must complete the required practical training before appearing for the CMA Final examination.
  • Final-Level Training helps CMA students develop the practical and professional skills needed for their future career.
  • This includes:
  • Skills Training: 80 Hours
  • Industry Oriented Training Programme (IOTP): 10 Days

These training requirements must be completed before appearing for the CMA Final examination.

Total Groups: 2 Groups

Total Papers: 8 Papers (4 Papers in Each Group)

Marks: 100 Marks for Each Paper

Duration: 3 Hours for Each Paper

Question Pattern:

  • Objective Questions: Questions where you choose the correct answer from the given options.
  • Descriptive Questions: Questions where you write answers, explanations or solve problems.

Marking Scheme:

  • Correct Answer: Marks are awarded according to the marks assigned to the question.
  • Incorrect Answer: No marks are deducted for wrong answers.
  • Unattempted Question: No marks are awarded.

Passing Criteria: You need at least 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks overall in a group to pass that group.

The CMA Final examination has seven compulsory papers and one elective paper.

Group III:

  • Paper 13: Corporate and Economic Laws – 100 Marks
  • Paper 14: Strategic Financial Management – 100 Marks
  • Paper 15: Direct Tax Laws and International Taxation – 100 Marks
  • Paper 16: Strategic Cost Management – 100 Marks

Group IV:

  • Paper 17: Cost and Management Audit – 100 Marks
  • Paper 18: Corporate Financial Reporting – 100 Marks
  • Paper 19: Indirect Tax Laws and Practice – 100 Marks

Elective Paper:

  • Paper 20A: Strategic Performance Management and Business Valuation – 100 Marks
  • Paper 20B: Risk Management in Banking and Insurance – 100 Marks
  • Paper 20C: Entrepreneurship and Startup – 100 Marks

Elective: You must choose any one of the three elective papers (20A, 20B or 20C).

Total: 8 Papers – 800 Marks
