GMAT is an international entrance examination conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC)for admission to MBA and other postgraduate management courses offered by business schools around the world.

GMAT scores are accepted by 2,400+ business schools across more than 110 countries for admission to MBA, Master's in Management, Master of Finance, Master of Business Analytics, and other postgraduate management programmes.

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

Qualification:

  • There is no minimum educational qualification required to take the GMAT examination.
  • However, most business schools require a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university for admission.

Age:

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old to take the GMAT examination.
  • Candidates aged 13 to 17 years can take the exam with written permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • There is no upper age limit.

Minimum Marks:

  • For the Exam: There is no minimum score or percentage required to appear for the GMAT examination.
  • For Admission: The minimum graduation marks required vary depending on the business school and course.

Attempts:

  • You can take the GMAT up to 5 times in a 12-month period.
  • You can take the GMAT a maximum of 8 times in your lifetime.
  • You must wait at least 16 days before taking the exam again.

Nationality:

  • Candidates of all nationalities can apply for the GMAT examination.

Mode of Examination: Online (Computer-Based Test).

Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Multi-Select Questions (MSQs).

Duration: 2 Hours 15 Minutes (135 Minutes).

Total Questions: 64 Questions.

Sections:

  • Quantitative Reasoning: 21 Questions.
  • Verbal Reasoning: 23 Questions.
  • Data Insights: 20 Questions.

Marking Scheme:

  • GMAT has no fixed marking scheme.
  • Your overall score depends on the number of correct answers, the difficulty level of the questions, and the questions you leave unanswered.
  • It is recommended to answer every question before the exam ends.

Scoring: Your total GMAT score ranges from 205 to 805.
