Institute-Level Admission is the admission process conducted directly by a college or institute to fill seats in its courses.

Students usually do not have to write a separate entrance exam. Admission is based on the eligibility criteria decided by the respective college or institute.

Some colleges conduct institute-level admissions after the main counselling process if seats are still vacant.

Example:

Suppose a college has 60 seats for a B.Tech course. After the state counselling process, only 50 seats are filled.

The college announces Institute-Level Admissions to fill the remaining 10 vacant seats.

Interested students can apply directly to the college. The college checks whether the students meet the required eligibility criteria and offers admission to eligible candidates.
