Qualification:

• Must have completed a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
• OR a minimum 3-year undergraduate diploma from NIFT or NID.
• Students appearing for their final year examinations can also apply.

Age:

• There is no upper age limit for the NIFT PG Entrance Exam.

Min mark:

• No minimum percentage is required.
• Candidates must have successfully completed the qualifying degree or diploma.

Attempts:

• There is no restriction on the number of attempts.
• You can appear multiple times if you meet the eligibility requirements.

Question Paper Structure:

The NIFT PG (M.Des) Entrance Exam has two sections:

• GAT (General Ability Test): Tests communication ability, English comprehension, quantitative ability, analytical ability, general knowledge, and current affairs.
• CAT (Creative Ability Test): Tests creativity, observation skills, visualization, design thinking, and problem-solving ability.

Mode: GAT is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and CAT is conducted as a Pen-and-Paper Test.

Frequency: Conducted once a year (usually in February).

Duration: 5 Hours Total (GAT: 2 Hours | CAT: 3 Hours).

Total Questions: GAT – 120 Questions | CAT – 3 to 4 Creative Design Questions.

Total Marks: GAT – 100 Marks | CAT – 100 Marks.

Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (GAT) and Creative Design Questions (CAT).

Question Paper Structure:
