SBI Clerk
SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) is a recruitment exam conducted by the State Bank of India (SBI) to select candidates for the Junior Associate position.
The exam tests your skills in areas such as English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and General and Financial Awareness.

Stream:
- Graduation in any stream is accepted.
Min marks:
- No minimum percentage is specified in graduation.
Attempts:
- No fixed limit on the number of attempts.
- You can apply again as long as you meet the age and other eligibility requirements.

Phase 1: Preliminary Examination
- English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks, 20 minutes
- Numerical Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes
- Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes
- Total: 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour
Phase 2: Main Examination
- General / Financial Awareness: 50 questions, 50 marks, 35 minutes
- General English: 40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions, 50 marks, 45 minutes
- Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 50 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes
- Total: 190 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours 40 minutes
Phase 3: Local Language Test
- Candidates who qualify for selection may have to take a test of the specified local language.
- Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10 or 12 and can provide valid proof are generally exempt from this test.
Negative Marking:
- 1/4th of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for each wrong answer in the objective tests.
Phase 1: Preliminary Examination
- Candidates must qualify in the Preliminary Examination to move to the Main Examination. Candidates are shortlisted for the Main Examination based on their performance in the Preliminary Examination.
Phase 2: Main Examination
- Candidates who qualify for the Main Examination are considered for the final merit list based on their performance in the Main Examination.
Phase 3: Local Language Test
- Candidates who qualify for selection may have to take a test of the specified local language of the state or Union Territory they have applied for.
- Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10 or 12 and have valid proof are generally exempt from the language test.
- Candidates who are required to take the test must qualify in the specified local language before joining.
- Candidates who fail to qualify in the required language test will not be offered appointment.
Final Selection:
- Final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the Main Examination, subject to verification of eligibility and qualifying the specified local language test, where applicable. Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not added to the final merit list.
