SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test)

SNAP is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to MBA and other postgraduate management programmes offered by Symbiosis institutes.

SNAP scores are accepted by various Symbiosis institutes across India for admission to MBA and other postgraduate management programmes.

Conducted by: Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU).

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

Exam Pattern: Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Mode: Online (Computer-Based Test).

Total Questions: 60 Questions.

Frequency: Conducted once a year (usually in December).

Qualification:

  • Must hold a Bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years duration) in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
  • Students currently in the final year of their Bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all degree requirements before the admission process.

Age:

  • There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the SNAP examination.

Minimum Marks:

  • For the Exam: No minimum marks are required to appear for the SNAP examination.
  • For Admission: Most Symbiosis institutes require at least 50% marks in graduation (45% for SC/ST candidates). The required minimum marks may vary depending on the institute and programme.

Attempts:

  • You can take the SNAP examination up to 3 times during the admission year.
  • Note: If you appear for multiple attempts, the best (highest) score is considered for admission.

Nationality:

  • Indian, NRI, and foreign candidates can apply, subject to the admission rules of Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

Mode of Examination: Online (Computer-Based Test).

Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Duration: 60 Minutes (1 Hour).

Frequency: Conducted once a year (usually in December).

Total Questions: 60 Questions.

Total Marks: 60 Marks.

Sections:

  • General English: 15 Questions (15 Marks).
  • Analytical & Logical Reasoning: 25 Questions (25 Marks).
  • Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency: 20 Questions (20 Marks).

Marking Scheme:

  • Correct Answer: +1 Mark.
  • Incorrect Answer: –0.25 Mark.
  • Unattempted Question: No penalty.

Students who qualify through the SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) can apply for postgraduate management programmes offered by various Symbiosis institutes across India.

Qualifying for the SNAP does not guarantee admission.

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of the respective Symbiosis institute and programme.

Admission is based on the SNAP score and the selection process prescribed by the respective institute, which may include a Personal Interview (PI), Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Exercise (GE), and/or other selection rounds.
